Veronica Louise Dunne is an American actress, voice actress and writer, who, for Disney, , portrayed Marisa K.C. Cooper ‘s best friend in the  Disney Channel Original Series, K.C. Undercover. She also made guest appearances in The Suite Life on Deck as Tiffany, Austin & Ally as Emily, According to Jim as Lauren, Kickin’ It as Taylor, and Walk the Prank as herself. Education

Veronica Dunne got admission to Carnegie Mellon University. However, she decided to defer her studies so that she could focus on her acting career.

Career

Veronica’s father, Murphy Dunne, was closely associated with theatre. This way, she was exposed to acting from an early age. Her debut play was Cinderella, produced under ‘Lythgoe Family Production’ house. In the play, Veronica got to share the stage with Hollywood veterans like Jennifer Leigh Warren and Freddie Stroma. Thereafter, Veronica starred in a couple of stage plays namely Into the Woods, Chicago, and Cabaret. She moved to New York for the play Black Suits, written by ‘Smash’ fame Joe Iconis. Her career took a major turn after that. She got an offer to play the role of Marisa Clark in Disney’s then-upcoming television series, K.C Undercover. At the same time, Veronica auditioned for the lead role of Sophie in the Broadway Production, ‘Mamma Mia.’ She cleared both the auditions, but eventually chose the role of Marisa over Sophie.

The character of Marisa brought Veronica the much-needed fame. The party-animal, chirpy and stylish best-friend of the lead, K’.C. Cooper’ became everyone’s favorite television character. For the role, her personal experiences in high school came in handy. Veronica found herself a lot like Marisa. Veronica managed to not get overshadowed by Zendaya Coleman, who played the lead role and is an established Disney’s in-house actress.

Veronica had earlier shown her acting skills in other Disney hit shows, such as Austin & Ally, The Suite Life on Deck, and Disney X D’s Kickin It. She also played the main lead as Lauren in the episode, According to Jim. Veronica made her silver screen debut with the 2009 film, Locker Love in which she played the role of Sarah Meyers. Her filmography includes two shorts films namely Couch and Our Wild Hearts released in 2011, and 2013, respectively.

Veronica regards actresses like Jennifer Lawrence and Lucille Ball as her inspiration. Though, her all-time favorite is Marylin Monroe.

Veronica’s fans got to see her musical talent when she performed at the 2014 Spotlight Awards Gala hosted by The Music Center of Los Angeles.

When she was giving a screen test for her role in C. Undercover, she had also cleared an audition for a role in the Broadway production of Mamma Mia! She had to eventually give up on the play to work on TV series.

Veronica Dunne is fond of tattoos and has got “These too shall pass inscribed on her left arm and had got a tiny heart tattooed on the inside of her right wrist.

She was cast in the recurring role of Taylor in the comedy television series Kickin It in 2014. The show stars Leo Howard, Dylan Riley Snyder, Mateo Arias, Olivia Holt, Alex Christian Jones, and Jason Earles.

She started her fascination with acting by appearing in musical theater plays.
